The foot is like the base of a building to the human body, it is the foundation of our body.
Like a building cannot be stable without a stable base, our body too loses stability and compromises at a lot of levels if the foot architecture is faulty.
Its sad, but foot is rarely a part of the assessment in most pain relief clinics or orthopedic setup, nobody is interested in checking out what’s happening down there.
Faulty foot architecture can result in a lot of aches and pains above, lets understand how.
As you all may know that our foot has an arch on the inner side, this arch is of importance for proper transmission of forces above the foot. Low or collapsed arch (like in flat foot) or a high arch are examples of faulty foot architecture.

More than 50% of the people all over the world have faulty foot architecture and I can say this very confidently that majority of the people are not aware of their foot type and even if they are aware of their foot type, they may not be aware of the problems associated with it or they must have not taken any measures to correct their foot type.
Low or collapsed arch (like in flat foot) is the commonest foot type in which the arch flattens out, elongating the foot and rolling it inwards.

The normal shock absorbing mechanism of the foot is lost as the arch is collapsed, thus the structures above absorb more shock than they should and this gives rise to aches and pains. Plantar fasciitis, heel pain, tired aching legs, knee pain, hip pain and lower back pain are just a few problems related to foot problem. It also affects performance in sports related activities both in children and adults.

Now ask yourself, how many times has your doctor assessed your foot and explained to you that the foot could be the possible cause of your aches and pains.
If you do suffer from niggling pain here and there and still haven’t got the solution, kindly go for a foot assessment. You may be surprised to know that the problem is the foot but the affected area is above.

The solution is very simple, you just need to get into foot orthotics which provides you the arch support that your foot has been longing for. This corrects your foot type upto 80% leaving you painfree.
So don’t ignore your foot, Happy Feet = Happy Body!
